How to use BASI

Short answers to “how do I…”.

Talk to it

  • Type, or tap the sound-wave button for a full voice conversation. Tap the orb to interrupt.
  • The mic button dictates into the text box so you can fix the words before sending.
  • Turn on “Hey Basi” in Settings → Voice. It listens only while BASI is open on screen.
  • Switch modes (Everyday, Executive, Research, Engineer…) with the pill at the top. Same memory, different focus.
  • “Deep think” uses the most capable model for one message. It costs more.

Make it remember

  • Say “remember that …”. BASI also picks up lasting facts on its own; guesses wait in Memory → To review.
  • Pin core facts so they're always used. Mark private things sensitive.
  • Say “forget that” or delete it in Memory.

Get things done

  • “Remind me at 6pm to …” — real notification on your phone.
  • “Add a task …”, “what's due this week?”, “start a project called …”.
  • “Put my exam on the agenda for Friday 9am” — and subscribe to your BASI calendar in Google Calendar from Settings → Notifications.
  • “Research … as a mission” — runs in the background with a budget; you get a report and next steps.
  • Decide → compare options with exact maths and an honest recommendation.
  • Radar → pick topics; BASI checks them daily and only flags new, relevant finds.

Share into BASI

After installing, use Android's Share button in any app and pick BASI. Photos, PDFs, links and text open in a new message for you to check before sending.

Costs

Activity shows estimated spend against your limits. Background work uses the cheap model; replies are cached where possible. Set limits in Settings → Budget, or flip on zero-spend mode.
